The MAGICademy video podcast shares inspiring stories of diverse learning and development innovators, leaders, and change-makers to spark childlike wonder and an inclusive mindset. Paired with evidence-based research, the podcast explores advancements in neuroarts, learning science, and technology, empowering creative, adaptable, and wonder-making leaders who transcend the limitations of the past toward collective flourishing.
We seek a versatile and talented Podcast Production and Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in managing the entire lifecycle of our podcast episodes, from editing and content creation to project management and marketing. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with a diverse skill set, capable of wearing multiple hats to produce high-quality content that engages our audience of heart-centered entrepreneurial leaders and innovators.
Key Responsibilities:
*Video Editing and Storytelling:
-Finetune full episode: Edit podcast recordings using Riverside or equivalent software to create polished video episodes (minimum editing)
-Generate “quotes”: from the full episode to highlight important perspectives or answer research questions (mid-priority)
-Design show art: using provided templates (minimum editing)
-Create “visual” story highlights (1-2 minutes) to ignite curiosity (high priority)
*Shownote Creation and Writing:
-Develop engaging episode shownote: to attract & retain listeners (high priority; template provided)
-Conduct research, citing quality peer-reviewed journals to support shownote content development (priority)
-Collaborate with the host to dev insightful, evidence-based show notes (current priority: may change later)
-Create compelling social media copy and promotional materials (occasional: shownote for each episode should power all social media content ideally)
*Project Management and Marketing:
-Coordinate with guests for media asset revisions and promotional efforts (high priority)
-Manage the podcast production schedule to ensure timely completion of all tasks (4 weeks) ahead of schedule (high priority)
-Publish episodes across various platforms (website, newsletter, YouTube, Linkedin, Spotify, FB, Ins, RedNote, etc.) (high priority)
-Conduct social media marketing to reach and engage the target audience (ideally)
-Analyze audience engagement metrics and adjust strategies as needed
*Quality Control:
-Follow the internal standard of procedure on each production output
-Implement rigorous quality control measures across all aspects of production and marketing
-Ensure high standards in final video products, written content, and marketing materials
-Monitor marketing performance and ensure brand alignment
*Ideal Candidate:
-Proven experience in video editing, content creation, and digital marketing
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills (know when to communicate proactively)
-Strong organizational and time management abilities
-Knowledge of SEO and social media marketing strategies
-Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
-Passionate about personal development and entrepreneurial leadership
-Growth mindset with curiosity
