This role involves the design, analysis, and optimisation of solar PV and battery storage systems, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with our onshore project managers, installation teams, and compliance officers to deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design grid-connected PV systems for residential, commercial, and government projects, including battery energy storage solutions.
• Conduct remote site assessments using satellite imagery, customer-provided data, and simulation tools to evaluate feasibility and system performance.
• Prepare detailed electrical designs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and layouts using industry-standard software.
• Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards (AS 4777, AS 5033, AS 3000, AS 5139) and Clean Energy Council (CEC) requirements.
• Collaborate remotely with onshore installation contractors and project managers to provide technical support during project execution.
• Perform remote troubleshooting and performance analysis for existing PV and battery systems.
• Support compliance activities, including documentation for credit creation and validation.
• Provide technical insights to improve system efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging PV technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to Australian energy markets.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PV system design, engineering, or technical support (offshore or remote work experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in PV design software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of grid connection requirements, inverter configurations, and battery storage systems.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical and safety standards related to solar PV systems.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo preferred but not mandatory).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with onshore teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects remotely while meeting deadlines.
