US ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with proven expertise in financial statement preparation, and advanced proficiency in QUICKBOOKS ONLINE and EXCEL.

Key Responsibilities
As a US Accountant, you will oversee a range of critical technical accounting tasks:

Core Accounting and Reporting Responsibilities:
• Prepare, analyze, and finalize financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, in compliance with US GAAP.
• Reconcile accounts, including intercompany accounts.
• Maintain and monitor the chart of accounts.
• Prepare consolidations for multi-entity operations.
• Perform periodic financial reviews and present key findings to management or clients.

Financial Analysis:
• Develop financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Conduct cost analysis, margin analysis, and KPI tracking to support business decision-making.

Accounting Systems and Processes:
• Optimize and maintain accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online and other tools to streamline processes.
• Automate recurring accounting tasks using advanced Excel functions, macros, or third-party tools.

Month-End and Year-End Closing:
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements and reports.

Tax Preparation:
• Prepare and file 1099s, federal and state tax returns, and sales tax reports.

Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including tax preparation (1099s), financial statement preparation, and system optimization.
• Industry Expertise: Experience working with US-based companies and deep knowledge of US GAAP compliance.
• Advanced expertise in QuickBooks Online.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas.

Preferred but NOT Required:
• CPA designation (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online,Gusto, Sage, Bill.com, etc.
