As we expand our impact in the public sector, we are seeking an experienced Government Contract Specialist and Proposal Writer to help us secure federal, state, and local government contracts.
Role Overview
The Government Contract Specialist/Proposal Writer will lead our efforts in identifying, writing, and managing government proposals. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in government contracting, procurement compliance, and persuasive writing to position our services competitively in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify government contract opportunities (federal, state, and local).
Manage the full proposal development lifecycle, including RFP analysis, compliance review, and submission.
Write, edit, and format compelling, compliant, and persuasive proposals tailored to government agencies.
Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), partners, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to align proposals with our training programs and services.
Ensure all submissions comply with FAR, DFARS, and other relevant procurement regulations.
Maintain a proposal content library, past performance documents, and government contract databases.
Track submitted proposals, follow up on award decisions, and analyze feedback to improve future submissions.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in government proposal writing, procurement, or contract management.
Strong understanding of government contracting, RFP processes, and federal acquisition regulations.
Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, proposal management tools, and online procurement systems (
APMP certification or similar credentials are a bonus but not required.
