We’re looking for an experienced Video Editor specializing in ads, VSLs, and both short-form and long-form content to join our growing creative team on a full-time, contract-to-hire basis.
This role is responsible for editing high-quality video content for paid ads, sales videos (VSLs), and organic content across multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok,
You understand the psychology behind effective storytelling, pacing, and engagement to keep viewers hooked. You’re proficient in fast-paced short-form editing (Reels/TikToks) as well as long-form sales videos and YouTube content. You have a deep understanding of hooks, motion graphics, jump cuts, captions, pacing, and social media trends to ensure content stands out in a competitive landscape.
Responsibilities
Editing & Post-Production
• Edit high-quality ads, VSLs, and content optimized for conversions and engagement.
• Maintain a strong grasp of short-form social media trends (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts) to create engaging content.
• Edit long-form content (YouTube videos, webinars, VSLs) for clarity, retention, and storytelling impact.
• Integrate motion graphics, captions,
• Optimize content pacing, structure, and visuals to drive watch time and conversions.
• Ensure all assets are delivered in the correct formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios for each platform.
Creative Strategy & Optimization
• Collaborate with the marketing and media teams to ensure video creatives align with campaign objectives.
• Implement A/B testing strategies in video edits to improve ad performance.
• Stay ahead of trends in video editing, social media algorithms, and platform best practices.
• Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips optimized for engagement and virality.
File Management & Organization
• Maintain clean file structures and project organization in Google Drive and editing software.
• Document workflows and SOPs to streamline video editing processes.
• Ensure project files are easily accessible for team collaboration and revisions.
Requirements
• Extensive experience in video editing with a proven track record in ads, VSLs, and social media content.
• Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve).
• Strong understanding of video pacing, hook strategies, and retention optimization.
