Position Overview:
We are seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant to provide administrative support to our home care agency. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare administration, home care agencies, or medical office support. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Appointment Scheduling & Reminders: Manage and coordinate patient appointments.
• Patient Records Management: Organize and maintain records in HHA-Exchange (EHR system).
• Handling Patient Inquiries & Correspondence: Respond to phone calls,
• Coordinating with Healthcare Professionals: Facilitate communication between caregivers, patients, and healthcare providers.
• Compiling Medical Research & Reports: Gather and summarize relevant healthcare information.
• Document Preparation & Organization: Create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Managing Telehealth Platforms: Support virtual consultations and remote patient interactions.

• Billing Support: Assist with patient billing, insurance claims, and payment processing.
Basic Qualifications:
• Proven experience in administrative or virtual assistant roles, preferably in the medical or healthcare field.
• Experience in healthcare administration (home care agency experience preferred).
• Familiarity with HHA-Exchange (EHR system) or similar healthcare software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and adapting to corrections.
• Culturally sensitive, patient, and empathetic towards clients and families.
Basic Requirements:
• Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly.
• Must have relevant work experience.
• Be able to submit an NBI clearance or Local Police Clearance background check if requested.
• Must be available for video meetings with your camera on.
• Must have no other clients during required work hours.
Technical Requirements:
• Device: Reliable laptop or desktop computer.
• Internet: High-speed connection (minimum 10 Mbps).
• Audio: Noise-canceling headset.
• Video: Webcam for virtual meetings.
• Workspace: Quiet, professional environment.
