About the Role
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to build, maintain, and optimize websites for our company and our clients. You will be responsible for developing custom themes and plugins, ensuring site security and performance, and collaborating with our marketing and content teams to enhance website functionality.
This is a full-time, remote position for candidates based in the Philippines.
Responsibilities
WordPress Development & Customization
• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
• Modify existing themes to match branding and design specifications.
• Implement e-commerce functionality using WooCommerce or Shopify integrations.
• Work with page builders like Elementor, Divi, and WPBakery to create custom pages.
• Ensure website responsiveness across mobile and desktop devices.
Website Optimization & Maintenance
• Optimize WordPress sites for speed, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot WordPress-related bugs, conflicts, and errors.
• Implement API integrations to connect WordPress with third-party applications.
• Manage WordPress databases (MySQL) for efficient performance.
Collaboration & Project Execution
• Work within project management tools like Trello, ClickUp, or Asana to track progress and deadlines.
• Collaborate with marketing, content writers, and designers to implement website enhancements.
• Ensure websites are optimized for SEO and conversions.
• Maintain an organized library of development files and assets.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
• 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Strong experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Understanding of MySQL database management.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs into WordPress.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred (but not required):
• Experience with WooCommerce, Shopify, or other e-commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of UX/UI best practices for WordPress design.
• Familiarity with SEO optimization for WordPress websites.
• Experience using version control tools like Git.
