Job Title: Medical Administrative Assistant [LM - WMA]
Schedule: Part-time, 6:00 - 9:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, Monday-Sunday
Salary Range: $5-$6/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative & Patient Support:
Schedule and manage patient appointments, including reminders.
Handle patient inquiries via phone,
Manage and organize patient records securely and efficiently.
Oversee
Coordinate with healthcare professionals for patient care needs.
Organize and manage the client’s inbox and documentation.
Use AthenaHealth as an EHR platform.
- Medical Billing & Insurance:
Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage.
Assist with medical coding and billing support.
Check in and prepare patient encounters, including transcription of visit notes.
Manage chronic disease encounters and associated billing.
Create and process telephone encounters, including documentation and billing.
- Clinical & Telehealth Support:
Manage telehealth platforms and assist in virtual patient interactions.
Provide clinical support, including patient monitoring and prescription refill coordination.
Compile medical research and reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred, but candidates with relevant healthcare administrative experience will be considered.
- Experience in medical administrative support, billing, and insurance processing.
- Proficiency with Athenahealth or similar EHR platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Basic requirements
- Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
- Must have relevant work experience
- Be able to submit an NBI clearance or Local Police Clearance background check if requested
- Must be available for video meetings with your camera on
- Must have no other clients during required work hours
