JOB OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW:

Our team is searching for a talented VIdeo Editor & Social Media Manager, 40 hours per week with 1+ years of previous Video Editing/social media management & Admin Support experience. Job is to edit long form videos for YouTube and Short Form for Facebook, Linked In and IG, as well as to help create weekly content, assist with administrative duties, and be a Team Player.

You must have experience editing videos for Youtube, and will have access to training which you would be responsible to learn and implement new ideas and trends.

Video Editing Responsibilities:
Footage Management:
Organize and manage raw video files.
Sync audio and video files if recorded separately.
Review raw footage to select the best clips for editing.
Editing & Post-Production:
Edit long-form and short-form videos for YouTube, social media, and marketing materials.
Cut, trim, and arrange clips to create engaging, well-paced videos.
Add smooth transitions, overlays, text animations, and graphics.
Insert relevant B-roll, stock footage, and background visuals.
Apply color correction and grading for a professional, polished look.
Improve audio quality by removing background noise and enhancing clarity.
Add background music and sound effects while ensuring balanced audio levels.
Implement captions and subtitles for accessibility and engagement.
Branding & Style Consistency:
Ensure videos align with your brand’s aesthetic, tone, and messaging.
Incorporate branding elements (logos, lower thirds, intros/outros, watermarks).
Follow specific video formats for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Optimizing for YouTube & Social Media:
Format videos for different platforms (horizontal for YouTube, vertical for Reels/TikTok).
Create eye-catching thumbnails with engaging text overlays.
Add end screens and calls-to-action (CTAs) to encourage engagement.
Optimize file sizes and resolutions for fast-loading videos.
Content Repurposing:
Create multiple short clips from long-form content for social media.
Convert video content into reels, stories, and TikTok clips.
Edit podcast interviews into engaging video clips for promotion.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work with you to understand the vision and goals for each video.
Provide creative input to improve video content and engagement.
Revise and refine videos based on feedback.
Maintain an organized workflow with clear file naming and storage systems.
Efficiency & Project Management:
Work within deadlines and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
Manage multiple projects at once while maintaining quality.
Stay up-to-date with video trends, editing techniques, and platform algorithms.
Social Media Manager Responsibilities:
1. Content Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute a content calendar aligned with business goals.
Plan and schedule posts, reels, and stories across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
Research and implement content themes based on trends and audience interests.
Optimize post timing and frequency for maximum engagement.
2. Content Creation & Publishing
Write compelling captions that align with your brand voice.
Create engaging posts, reels, carousels, and stories using graphics, video clips, and text overlays.
Repurpose YouTube videos into shorter clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.
Design branded social media graphics using Canva or Adobe.
Ensure all content follows branding, messaging, and tone guidelines.
3. Video & Reel Optimization
Collaborate with the Team to edit and post videos across platforms.
Add hashtags, captions, and tags to optimize video reach.
Write engaging video descriptions and titles for YouTube & social media.
Create and test different thumbnail styles for video content.
4. Community Engagement & Growth
Respond to comments, messages, and DMs in a timely, professional manner.
Engage with followers, prospects, and industry professionals to build relationships.
Monitor and participate in relevant Facebook groups, LinkedIn discussions, and industry forums.
Run social media contests, polls, and interactive Q&A sessions to boost engagement.
5. Audience Growth & Lead Generation
Implement growth strategies to attract new followers organically.
Utilize hashtags, keywords, and location tags to increase discoverability.
Collaborate with influencers or industry professionals for cross-promotion.
Develop and test social media ad campaigns to generate leads and drive traffic.
Optimize social media profiles (bio, links, pinned posts) for lead conversion.
6. Analytics & Performance Tracking
Monitor and analyze post engagement, reach, and follower growth.
Track video watch time, shares, and conversions for YouTube & Reels.
Generate weekly/monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
Use data to optimize future content and posting strategies.
7. Paid Advertising Management (If Needed)
Set up and manage Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube ads.
Run targeted real estate ads, listing promotions, and lead gen campaigns.
Track and optimize ad performance for ROI and cost per lead.
8. Trend & Competitor Research
Stay updated on social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.
Monitor competitors’ social media activity to find new opportunities.
Test and implement new features (AI content, interactive tools, trending audios).
9. Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with the real estate team, and coaching business.
Provide regular updates on content performance and strategy adjustments.
Offer creative suggestions for new content ideas that align with business goals.
REQUIREMENTS:

Speak & write in fluent English
Experience using a social media scheduling tool
Familiarity using Slack for communication
Experience posting to Youtube, Instagram, FB, Linked In
Experience working with YouTube, creating compelling content, titles, thumbnails
Experience in Video analytics in Youtube and Creating impressions
At least 1 years experience as a Video Editor/Social Media Manager
Experience with hashtag research & Seo
Graphic design experience needed - though Canva templates can/will be used, applicant MUST have good graphic skills and aesthetic sense (spacing, colors, scales, etc)
Available for 40 hours a week


PROVIDED:

Full video training of each task
Access to social media tools and training videos and AI tools
Work US Schedule, 9am to 6pm.
Most (but not all) content will be provided for you to schedule/ create though some content you will need to develop with your own creativity (should be fun)!



HOURS: 35 to 40 hours/week


RATE: $5 to 10.00/ hour USD depending on experience
