The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring the sound financial health of the business. This senior leadership role involves managing all financial operations, developing financial strategies, and providing comprehensive financial reporting to senior management and key stakeholders. The Finance Director will ensure the effective management of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and risk management processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
• Provide strategic advice to the directors on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.
• Oversee the long-term financial planning and growth strategies, ensuring financial sustainability and maximizing company value.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Drive the development and management of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and offer actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance regularly, analyze variance reports, and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial targets are met.
3. Financial Reporting
• Ensure the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant financial guidelines.
• Prepare and present financial reports.
4. Cash Flow & Risk Management
• Manage and optimize cash flow to ensure the business has adequate liquidity to meet its operational needs.
• Lead efforts to identify and manage financial risks, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks.
• Oversee investments, working capital management, and financing activities, ensuring the company’s financial health is maintained.
5. Compliance & Internal Controls
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and corporate governance practices.
• Oversee the internal control environment, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Manage internal and external audit processes, responding to findings and implementing necessary improvements.
6. Stakeholder & Investor Relations
• Maintain and foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, banks, and investors.
• Provide key financial information and insights to investors, partners, and potential stakeholders to ensure informed decision-making.
Requirement
• Previous work with Singaporean company is a must!
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
Experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role (e.g., Finance Manager, Finance Controller, or Senior FP&A).
• Proven track record of leading financial planning and analysis, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
• Extensive experience in Stock/ Audit.
• Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and data-driven decision-making.
• In-depth knowledge of financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications (Preferred)
• CPA, CMA, CFA, or other relevant certifications in finance or accounting.

Working Conditions
