Position Overview:
We’re seeking a driven Freight Forwarding Account Executive to expand our network of freight forwarding partners across Canada. In this role, you will proactively identify, engage, and onboard new freight forwarding companies to strengthen our service offerings and competitive pricing. Success in this role directly impacts our ability to deliver cost-effective, scalable solutions to clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Relationship Building: Conduct cold calls,
Account Acquisition: Secure a minimum of 10 new freight forwarding accounts per month, ensuring they meet service and compliance standards.
Negotiation & Onboarding: Negotiate terms, finalize agreements, and coordinate seamless onboarding processes for new partners.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about regional and national freight forwarding trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align partner capabilities with client needs and market demands.
Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate records of outreach, pipeline progress, and closed accounts using CRM tools.
Commission Structure:
You will earn a 15% commission on the salary for every new account you open, ensuring that your efforts are directly rewarded for expanding our network of partners.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven Sales Skills: 1+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account acquisition (logistics or freight industry experience is a plus).
Persuasive Communicator: Confidence in cold calling, negotiating terms, and building rapport with decision-makers.
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet/exceed monthly quotas.
Geographic Flexibility: Target freight forwarders in all Canadian provinces—no regional limitations.
Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of ocean freight, logistics, or supply chain dynamics is preferred.
