Assist in email outreach to journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
Track press coverage and compile media reports.
Help coordinate interviews and promotional events (virtual and in-person).
Administrative & Creative Support:

Assist in copywriting for website updates, marketing materials, and social posts.
Conduct industry research to support publicity campaigns.
Coordinate with designers, editors, and PR contacts as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:

Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok.
Basic knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, or other design tools is a plus.
Experience with email outreach and press release writing is preferred.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Passion for entertainment, advertising, photography, and filmmaking is a plus.
How to Apply:

Interested candidates should send their resume, portfolio (if applicable), and a short cover letter to [your email or website application link] with the subject line: "Social Media & Publicity Assistant – PH Application."

1. Write a Strong Press Release

Keep it concise, no more than one page.
Lead with a compelling headline and strong opening paragraph.
Answer the who, what, when, where, and why right away.
Include quotes from key people involved.
End with a short bio and contact information.
2. Build a Media Contact List

Research entertainment journalists, bloggers, and influencers who cover your industry.
Look at bylines on relevant articles and find their contact emails (or social media).
Use free press release distribution sites (see below).
3. Leverage Free Press Release Distribution Sites

Some websites allow you to distribute press releases for free, such as:

PRLog.org
OpenPR.com
NewswireToday.com
OnlinePRNews.com (basic free tier)
Paid distribution (like PR Newswire) can be effective, but free sites can still generate visibility.

4. Email It Directly to Journalists

Personalize your pitch: Don’t just copy-paste the press release—explain why your story matters to them.
Keep it short and direct.
Use a subject line that grabs attention.
Follow up politely if they don’t respond.
5. Use Social Media & Tag Media Outlets

Post your news on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Tag relevant media outlets and journalists.
Engage with them before pitching—comment on their posts, retweet their content.
6. Leverage Online Communities

Share your release in relevant Facebook groups, Reddit forums, and LinkedIn groups.
Post on entertainment forums or industry-specific websites.
7. Network & Collaborate

Attend industry events (even virtually) and make connections.
Partner with other creatives or influencers to cross-promote.
8. Pitch Directly for Interviews & Features

Instead of just sending a release, offer to do an interview or guest article.
Podcasts, YouTube channels, and smaller blogs often look for fresh content.
If you need help refining your press release, I can draft one for you!
