Bookkeeper (Australian Accounting & E-Commerce)

We’re looking for an experienced bookkeeper with a strong background in Australian bookkeeping to independently oversee our finances, including e-commerce reconciliations, BAS preparation, and financial reporting.

What You’ll Do
- Bank Reconciliation & Data Entry – Record and match transactions across Amazon, WooCommerce, and other platforms.
- Accounts Management – Oversee invoices, payments, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Payroll & Compliance – Process payroll, superannuation, and ensure tax compliance.
- BAS & Tax Filings – Prepare and lodge BAS; assist with year-end tax prep.
- R&D Support – Track and document R&D expenses for tax claims.
- Financial Reporting – Prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other reports.
- Budgeting & Cash Flow – Support financial planning and forecasting.
- Financial Analysis – Provide insights to support better decision-making.

What We Need
- Experience in Australian accounting & BAS
- Proficiency in Xero
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Amazon, WooCommerce)
- Strong understanding of VAT/GST/US state sales tax regulations
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Clear communication skills

Work Hours
- Flexible working hours
- 3 hours per week (with potential to grow as we scale)
