Transcription Specialist with Editing and Audio Mixing Skills

This role will primarily focus on transcribing audio and video content but will also involve some editing and audio mixing responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Primary Focus: Accurately transcribe audio and video content, ensuring grammar, punctuation, and formatting are correct.
• Edit transcriptions for clarity, flow, and coherence.
• Review and proofread transcripts for accuracy and consistency.
• Sync transcripts with video/audio timelines where necessary.
• Perform basic audio mixing tasks to ensure high-quality sound, including leveling, noise reduction, and background music integration.
• Collaborate with the editing and production team to meet content deadlines.
• Organize and manage files in an efficient manner.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in transcription with a strong portfolio of work.
• Exceptional listening skills and the ability to distinguish between multiple speakers.
• Excellent command of English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Familiarity with transcription software and tools (e.g., Otter.ai, Descript, or similar).
• Basic audio mixing skills and experience using audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools).
• Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in content editing or media production.
• Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro) is a plus.
• Knowledge of industry trends and standards for digital media.
