Are you an experienced Virtual Assistant with a strong background in accounting? Do you have excellent attention to detail, and enjoy contributing to the success of a team? We are looking for a motivated and skilled Virtual Assistant (Accounting Specialist) to join our team and help us streamline our financial processes.
Position Overview
This role requires someone with a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle various financial and administrative tasks. As a key part of our team, you will work remotely to ensure smooth operations, manage finances, and assist with debt management and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
• Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies daily.
• Managing the company budget and monitoring spending to ensure goals are met.
• Assisting with debt collection and overdue payment follow-ups.
• Tracking and reducing debts through strategic “dominoing” of payments.
• Paying wages accurately and on time.
• Preparing financial reports and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborating with the team to meet weekly and daily financial goals.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant, particularly in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (Xero).
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular) and cloud-based tools.
• Understanding of Australian accounting standards (preferred but not mandatory).
