Web Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Web Developer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and creativity to deliver exceptional web solutions. If you have experience in web scraping, maintaining scripts, and developing both front-end and back-end systems with a strong focus on UX design, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
Web Scraping and Automation
- Develop and maintain scripts to scrape data from various websites reliably and efficiently.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise scraping scripts to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Front-End Development
- Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces using the best UX design practices.
- Ensure seamless user experiences across all devices, prioritising performance and accessibility.

Back-End Development
- Build and maintain robust and scalable server-side systems to support web applications.
- Integrate APIs and manage databases to ensure smooth data flow and functionality.

Script Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain existing scripts, ensuring they remain functional and up-to-date with system changes.
- Proactively address bugs, inefficiencies, and updates to improve overall system reliability.

Collaborative Development
- Work closely with designers, marketers, and other team members to align web solutions with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team development standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python for scripting and back-end development.
- Front-End Skills: Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
- Back-End Skills: Experience with server-side frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, or Node.js).
- Database Management: Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- UX Design: A strong understanding of best UX/UI design principles and practices.
- Web Scraping: Hands-on experience with web scraping tools and libraries (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium).
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of web security best practices and compliance standards.

Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
- Understanding of data visualisation tools and libraries.
