Custom Sword Designer (Engravings & Aesthetics)

Summary/Objective

The Custom Sword Designer will work directly with customers to create unique engravings and personalized designs for swords. This role is strictly design-focused, involving digital drawing and sketching rather than manual engraving. The designer must have artistic creativity, precision, and a strong understanding of engraving aesthetics to ensure each custom order aligns with the client's vision and our brand’s high-quality standards.


Responsibilities & Duties

1. Collaborate directly with customers to understand their design requests for custom engravings and sword aesthetics.

2. Develop and present digital mockups or sketches of custom designs before engraving.

3. Ensure that designs align with the customer's heritage, symbolism, and unique vision.

4. Work closely with the swordsmiths and production team to ensure the designs are accurately transferred for engraving.

5. Use design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or equivalent) to create detailed artwork.

6. Keep up with sword trends, engraving techniques, and cultural symbolism to offer customers innovative and meaningful designs.

7. Provide suggestions and refinements to customers to enhance the final product.

8. Manage multiple design projects and meet customer deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications

1. Experience in graphic design, illustration, or digital artwork (preferably in engraving or similar decorative arts).

2. Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or equivalent).

3. Strong artistic and creative skills, with the ability to translate customer ideas into visually appealing digital sketches.

4. Excellent communication and customer service skills—able to guide customers in refining their ideas.

5. Attention to detail and precision—ensuring that each design meets high-quality artistic standards.

6. Ability to work closely with craftsmen and swordsmiths to ensure accurate design execution.

7. Passion for Japanese swords, anime, gaming, or historical weaponry is a big plus!


Working Conditions & Compensation

Position Type: Remote, part-time.

Working Hours: 4 hours per day on weekdays.

Compensation: $300 per month.
