Main duties and responsibilities:
Your will main responsibility will be to carry out monthly bookkeeping tasks on Xero for our clients.
• Bank Reconciliation
• Posting sales/purchase invoices
• Making journal entries
• Proactively chasing clients up with queries
• Preparing VAT returns
Mandatory requirements
• At least one years’ previous experience in bookkeeping.
• Solid understanding of spreadsheet software and Xero
• A good understanding of VAT principles
• Great command of the English language (both written and oral)
Desirable characteristics
• Experience working with ecommerce businesses
• An understanding of EU VAT (distance sales/reverse-charge/EC Sales)
• Friendliness (we have a fun and sociable team!)
• A passion for learning (we love keyboard shortcuts)
• Software that we use includes Xero, Dext, Karbon, Google Drive, 1Password, Slack and a familiarity with any of these is a bonus)
