Role Overview:
The Financial Controller at Energy 4 Life (E4L) will play a senior leadership role in overseeing the company’s financial health. This role combines traditional financial management responsibilities with a forward-looking focus on implementing technology-driven financial systems to drive efficiency, scalability, and strategic growth.
You’ll be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, cash flow management, and acting as a financial advisor to senior leadership. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to explore, recommend, and implement financial technologies that improve operations and align with E4L's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
Produce accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management and the board of directors.
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Analyze financial performance and present actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with E4L's strategic goals.
Provide financial projections and strategic recommendations for business growth and resource allocation.
Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
3. Record-Keeping and Accuracy:
Oversee accurate financial data recording across all company transactions.
Ensure data is recorded in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Implement systems to streamline and automate financial record-keeping processes.
4. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure full compliance with government regulations, financial standards, and audit requirements.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement required adjustments.
Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
5. Internal Controls and Risk Management:
Establish and maintain robust internal financial control systems to safeguard company assets.
Monitor financial processes and ensure all transactions comply with internal policies.
Identify and mitigate financial risks proactively.
6. Cash Flow Management:
Manage the company’s cash flow to ensure operational liquidity and financial health.
Develop and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.
Recommend investment strategies to optimize cash reserves and returns.
7. Supporting Senior Management:
Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on financial strategy and performance.
Provide financial insights and analysis against business KPIs and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial goals align with organizational priorities.
8. Technology and Financial Systems:
Evaluate, recommend, and implement financial technology tools and ERP systems to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Utilize automation and data analytics tools for better financial insights and streamlined workflows.
Stay informed about emerging financial technologies and champion their adoption where relevant.
KEY Skills:
-Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills
-Expertise in international financial regulations and accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS)
-Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online Advanced features
-Experience leading financial system upgrades or ERP implementations.
-Experience or interest in AI automation tools for financial reporting
-Highly organized with a focus on improving efficiency and processes
Interest in health, wellness, and technology trends.
-Ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Experience and Skills Required:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. MBA is highly preferred
-CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
-Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial management
-At least 2 years of proven experience as Controller, Finance Manager, or similar leadership role, demonstrating expertise in financial management and analysis.
-Strong proficiency in financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
-Experience with Quickbooks is required
-In-depth knowledge of US financial regulations, standards, and compliance requirements is required
-PowerBI experience is a plus.
-In-depth understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and financial compliance requirements.
-Proven experience in implementing technology solutions for financial operations.
-Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
-Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with a track record of developing insightful financial reports
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
-Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems, along with advanced MS Office skills, particularly -Excel for financial modeling
-Demonstrate a solid typing WPM (ideally 55 wpm+)

Computer - at least i5 or equivalent with 8gb RAM
Internet Speed - At least 50 MBPS Download speed
