WordPress Expert with WP Engine Experience (Night Shift – US Schedule)

We are a US-based digital agency seeking a skilled WordPress Expert to join our team during the night shift (US schedule). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with WordPress development, hosting management, and troubleshooting, with a particular focus on WP Engine hosting platforms.

Responsibilities:
WordPress Development: Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including creating themes, integrating plugins, and implementing custom features.

WP Engine Hosting Management: Configure, manage, and optimize WP Engine hosting environments to ensure fast, secure, and reliable performance.

Website Optimization: Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Monitoring & Maintenance: Regularly update WordPress core, plugins, and themes while ensuring compatibility and functionality.

Security Management: Implement advanced security protocols, monitor for vulnerabilities, and perform regular backups on WP Engine.
Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues promptly, including debugging, performance tuning, and DNS configuration.

Website Migration: Execute seamless migrations to and from WP Engine with minimal downtime or data loss.

Database Management: Optimize and manage MySQL databases for top-tier performance.

Staging & Deployment: Utilize WP Engine's staging environments for testing and deploying updates with zero disruption.

Collaboration: Work closely with the US-based team to meet project deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Night Shift Availability: Be available during US business hours for real-time support and team communication.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a WordPress developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
Extensive familiarity with WP Engine, including its tools, features, and hosting environment.
Proficiency in WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders like Elementor and WPBakery.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Knowledge of DNS management, SSL certificates, and domain setup.
Experience in website performance optimization (speed, SEO, and user experience).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently during the night shift.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
