Job Title: Web Developer with Graphic Design Experience (WordPress & Shopify)

Location: Remote - Part time or Full Time position

Job Overview:

As a Web Developer with Graphic Design experience, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing websites on the WordPress and Shopify platforms. You will work closely with our design and marketing teams to ensure that websites are visually stunning, functional, and user-friendly. Your ability to blend strong coding skills with an eye for design will be essential to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Web Development:

Build, maintain, and enhance websites using WordPress and Shopify.

Customize themes, templates, landing pages and plugins to align with design requirements and client needs.
Ensure websites are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and optimized for performance.
Troubleshoot and debug site issues and provide ongoing maintenance and updates.

Graphic Design:

Create ocassional visually appealing graphics, layouts, and web elements (banners, icons, buttons, etc.) for websites.
Work closely with the design team to translate concepts into cohesive designs.
Ensure designs align with branding guidelines and deliver a consistent user experience across all platforms.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with project managers, content creators, and marketing teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality websites.
Communicate effectively to understand client requirements and offer creative solutions.

SEO & User Experience:

Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and rankings.
Focus on UX/UI best practices to create engaging and user-friendly interfaces.
E-commerce Development (Shopify):

Customize and maintain Shopify stores, including setting up product pages, payment gateways, and shipping configurations.
Integrate third-party apps and plugins to enhance store functionality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience with WordPress and Shopify development (including custom theme and plugin development).
Proficiency in front-end web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Solid understanding of graphic design principles and proficiency in design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent.
Knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first design principles.
Experience working with SEO tools and best practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with PHP, Liquid, and MySQL.
Experience with website performance optimization and security best practices.
Experience with additional e-commerce platforms or tools, such as WooCommerce or Magento.
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or other analytics tools.
