Financial Analyst - Reporting and Business Intelligence Specialist

Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst - Reporting and Business Intelligence Specialist will focus on creating and improving reporting systems to support business decisions. This role requires a mix of technical expertise and business understanding, using tools like SQL and Power BI to build dashboards and reporting packages. The ideal candidate will be able to connect with both technical teams and business users, delivering actionable insights to drive performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and customized reporting tools to track key business metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into practical solutions.
• Create and maintain advanced financial models to support decision-making.
• Use SQL to extract and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Conduct trend and variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with sales teams and other business units to share insights and improve performance.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leaders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Document processes and methodologies to ensure consistent reporting standards.
• Take part in special projects aimed at improving data visualization and reporting efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or reporting.
• Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial planning processes.
• Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with additional BI tools such as Tableau or SSRS.
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and best practices.
• Ability to identify process improvements and influence business decisions through data insights.
