Business Storyteller/Writer Virtual Assistant with journalistic investigative skills, startup industry knowledge and great English needed to listen to creative director & clients, synthesize information, ask incisive questions, and draft sales pitches, investor stories and thought leadership video scripts. The work will initially be focused on accelerating story development with me, the agency principal, both for internal agency video content creation and for external client project storytelling. For the right candidate the job will mature into a leadership storytelling role with direct customer/client contact, strategic project management, and/or brand content marketing.

This position requires advanced listening, strategic thinking, imaginative storytelling and a tech startup business orientation.

It is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic creative strategist working with exciting US & global clients across startup, capital and enterprise spaces. My agency helps businesses, founders and executives figure out their unique brand DNA, validate their growth strategy, and create key messaging to attract sales, investment and partnership. I am a former college design professor and believe deeply in creating a collaborative, learning and growth oriented team. I have very high expectations around quality and I invest time in training my team members to exceed the expectations of our clients. While I do train every team member personally, this is very much a position for an individual with experience and advanced aptitude.

Project-based to start (with minimum guaranteed weekly hours & pay) with the opportunity to convert quickly to full time for the right candidate demonstrating high-quality story finding and storytelling skill, relentless inquisitiveness, independent initiative, positive team spirit and the ability to learn. Deep empathy to connect with people and inquire into their underlying thoughts and feelings.
The natural gift to simplify complex ideas and information into simple clear messages.
Comfortable in a client-facing leadership capacity

Bonus skills:
Advanced gen AI skills (complex conditional ChatGPT query development)
Investigative journalism background or similar
Experience drafting YouTube or similar content
Previous experience in startup and or funding/investment spaces.
