JOB OVERVIEW

*** Looking for Full-Time Smart "Quick Start" VA with Great English/Communication Skills for Customer Service role in Our Small Communications Firm ***

Greetings! We are Cornerstone Services, Inc. (www.crst.net), a small, boutique communications firm (web services & direct mail & printing) located in the Hudson Valley in Upstate New York. We need someone in our Customer Service area smart with both strong tech/web support skills and native English speaking abilities. We will train the right person, but you will need to be a "quick start" and have both amazing verbal and written English speaking abilities as a pre-requisite. You must work the overnight however, since we are GMT-4/EST (Eastern Standard Time).

WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON - EXTENSIVE TRAINING INCLUDEED - BUT YOU NEED TO HAVE GREAT ENGLISH SKILLS AND ACADEMICS TO APPLY!

The work is varied but can be intellectually stimulating. Your job would range from answering phones/emails, to guiding clients on how they can improve their websites (we will train), to gaining industry knowledge, to onboarding new web clients in Asana (our Project Management software), to managing key prospect lists, to gathering assets for the development team for WordPress websites, to handling a variety of administrative work (data entry, data research, working with using MS Excel).

Every day (night) is different. Most of the clients are not-for-profit organizations (such as churches, fire departments, animal welfare), but we have a large number of small business accounts as well. All are God's children and we have a strong interpersonal rapport between clients and staff members. You would be a team member, and not just a regular VA. We're not looking for a "wallflower" -- we're looking for someone with strong English skills and the willingness to learn and grow into the role over time in our Customer Service area.

There is growth potential and we are committed to on-going and professional training. And, you may also work more than 40 hours a week, if you want. Although the position is entry-level (to start) yet we are committed towards on-going education and advanced certification, including team building, for the right person. The key for us is in getting "the right person". (Please, please, please, tell us that you're the right one!)

*** IMPORTANT *** So, before you get super excited about applying, and before we describe the position in detail, you MUST READ THIS WHOLE POST and respond affirmatively to requests and questions posted. Since we're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, with exceptional verbal & written English skills, it would be odd to respond and not be complete here -- so please read everything carefully.

You are asked to respond both here on OnlineJobs, AND, also send an email, so please take your time to do this properly if interested.

1. Please send us an audio recording of yourself... something, anything, so we know you can handle yourself on the phone with Americans. This simple -- go to Vocaroo.com (https://vocaroo.com/) and record something brief (1 - 2 minutes) so we may hear you before reaching back to you.

2. The next thing we ask is that you understand how important your personal integrity is to us. Examples: "my word is your bond", "I give 100% in everything I do", "the answer is always 'yes' unless I have a good reason to the contrary", "I honor and respect those with whom I serve", "service is a privilege". Please confirm that you get this.

3. Again, we will provide training for some software such as Asana.com, Intermedia Unite VoIP, Google WorkSpace, Microsoft 365 (esp. MS Word & MS Excel), Loom.com, LessAnnoyingCRM.com, QuickBooks Online, etc. If you wish to move forward in our environment, you may wish to take the initiative to learn some of the prevailing online technologies that we use TextPad/NotePad++, MS BigQuery, WordPress w/ BeaverBuilder, BCC Satori BulkMailer, etc. If you are excited about knowing and using software at this level, then you might enjoy what we're doing - let us know! If you know any of these applications with great (not amateur) proficiency, please tell us that as well!

4. Once more, your work environment is really important to us. Our business hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EST (GMT-4 or "New York Time") and these would be your hours, too. You will need to confirm that you have a PROFESSIONAL, non-interruptive space or setting to work in, and, that you also have great internet up-speed/down-speed connectivity and that your headset is sufficient enough to speak with us over VoIP. You must have a dedicated home location and cannot work at, let's say, a local coffee shops. Please confirm that you have this in please.

5. Here's how to apply formally:

(a) send an email to Sean Griffin at crstsg@gmail.com; include your name & this position in the subject line; your email should have a few lines telling us about yourself and we want you to acknowledge (or ask questions about) everything above; for our convenience, please include your OnlineJobs.ph profile link as well as your Facebook profile link when applying to the crstsg@gmail.com Gmail address;

(b) in your email, please attach (no drive links to folders please) your resume in *.pdf format as well as any other attachments else that might be helpful for us to know. This is up to you... training certificates, for example? What would help us get to know you? In your resume (or email), we'd like to know where you live, your full legal name and complete contact information as well as where you went to college (graduating GPA required); and,

(c) you will also send back a message here on OnlineJobs.ph and include 10 apply points; if you aren't sure you want to use 10 apply points, that's fine, but I don't suggest you apply then as we will most likely respond to applications who bestow at least 10 APs.

We'll largely be using the communication tools in OnlineJobs.ph to respond back to you. Thank you in advance, and, we hope to hear from you!

[Note: this ad is being posted because we have someone who announced to me that she needs to return to university for an IT internship & course studies; we're not in a rush, but we're eager to have her replacement up-and-running by mid-February.]
