We are seeking a meticulous and creative Post-Production Specialist to join our team and take charge of the audio and video editing for our podcast network. This role involves ensuring the highest production quality for each episode, managing editing workflows, and delivering polished, professional content. You will work closely with our Line Producer and creative team to maintain consistency and improve the overall listener and viewer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit audio and video podcast episodes for "Watson Weekly," "Watson Weekend," and future shows, ensuring top-tier production quality.
Enhance video quality for shorts and main episodes, implementing best practices for framing, text placement, and visual consistency.
Perform audio cleanup, leveling, and mastering to maintain a professional sound standard.
Utilize AI and industry-standard tools like Descript, Adobe Audition, and Auphonic for efficient workflows.
Create repurposed content from podcast episodes, such as video clips, audiograms, and promotional assets.
Manage and maintain a robust file organization system to ensure efficient project management and retrieval.
Generate accurate transcripts for publishing and optimize metadata, including titles, descriptions, keywords, and other SEO-friendly fields.
Collaborate with the Line Producer to meet deadlines and fulfill publishing requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in audio and video post-production for podcasts or related content.
Proficiency in tools like audio and video editing software.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering error-free content.
Familiarity with social promotion strategies and tools.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Experience with AI-driven tools for content enhancement is a plus.
Knowledge of podcast distribution platforms and analytics tools.
Experience with podcast hosting platforms Captivate and Streamyard or similar.
Location flexible, but must work Eastern Standard Time.
