Video Editor (CapCut Expert) for Magic Videos

Job Overview: We’re looking for a talented Video Editor with strong CapCut skills to help us create captivating, mystifying magic-themed videos. You’ll be working directly with me (the director) whenever I have a new concept or idea. Your role is to help transform simple footage into mind-bending clips that really wow our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit Magic Videos: Use your creativity and attention to detail to edit raw footage of magic tricks and illusions into polished, visually stunning content.

• Follow Art Direction: Collaborate with me on how each video should look and feel, ensuring all edits align with the creative vision provided.

• Shot Selection & Sequencing: Watch reference videos I send and decide which shots or angles would best convey the magic effect. Propose a plan before editing.

• Enhance the Illusion: Use transitions, effects, and pacing in CapCut to heighten the sense of wonder. Identify opportunities for additional effects or motion graphics.

• Quality Control: Deliver clean, professional edits optimized for various social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
What We Provide:

Reference Clips: You will receive examples of the style and complexity we’re aiming for. If you can watch the clips and already know how to replicate or improve on them, great!

Training (If Needed): If magic editing is new to you, we will provide a specialized course or guidance on how to create jaw-dropping illusions in post-production.

Creative Direction: Regular feedback and concept brainstorming sessions to ensure our videos stand out in the crowded social media landscape.

Requirements:

CapCut Proficiency: Demonstrable experience editing videos in CapCut (please include samples or links to past work).
Strong Creative Eye: Ability to understand and replicate specific visual styles. Experience with magic or illusion videos is a huge plus, but not required if you’re willing to learn.

Attention to Detail: You catch small mistakes and correct them before final output.
Responsive & Communicative: We work as a team. Prompt communication via email or messaging platforms is essential.
Open to Feedback: Willingness to revise work based on art direction until the final product meets or exceeds expectations.
