This is a long-term opportunity.

We help people in the U.S. find practical solutions for managing and reducing their student loan debt through clear, informative content.

We’re seeking a highly skilled Content Designer & Repurposing Specialist who excels at transforming existing written and video content into engaging short-form videos, carousels, and other multimedia assets.

You’ll be joining a dedicated content team of two writers focused on blogs and written content—your role will be the “digital specialist” who breathes new life into our content visually and interactively.

You should live and breathe content creation—someone who can’t stop brainstorming new ways to delight an audience with visuals and videos. We’re looking for a creative mind that’s excited to try new tools (like Midjourney) and new techniques to keep pushing the envelope in content repurposing.

Responsibilities:

Repurpose Long-Form Content:

- Take our blogs and YouTube videos, then transform them into bite-sized short-form videos, carousels, and other visual assets.
- Use tools like Canva, Midjourney, and CapCut (or similar) to bring fresh design perspectives.

Visual Design & Branding:

- Adhere to our clear content branding guidelines while still pushing creative boundaries.
- Ensure all visuals are on-brand, polished, and optimized for various platforms (e.g., Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok).

Collaboration & Teamwork:

- Work closely with our two content writers to ensure synergy between the written and visual content.
- Brainstorm with the team on how to improve engagement through design, layout, and storytelling.

Short-Form Video Editing:

Edit and optimize short videos for multiple channels, paying attention to pacing, captions, and hooks that keep viewers engaged.

Midjourney & AI-Driven Creation:

- Embrace AI tools (like Midjourney) to ideate and generate unique visuals that complement our brand’s voice.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices for AI-driven design.

SEO & Platform Best Practices:

- Understand how visuals and video titles, tags, and descriptions play into discoverability.
- Collaborate with the writers to ensure repurposed content is optimized for search and user engagement.

What You’ll Bring:
- Proven Experience in graphic design, video editing, or multimedia content creation.
- Excellent Command of Tools such as Canva, CapCut (or similar), and a willingness to explore AI-based tools like Midjourney.
- Genuine Passion for repurposing content—constantly looking for new ways to capture attention and tell stories visually.
- Attention to Detail ensuring every piece of content meets brand standards and is polished before it goes live.
- Curiosity & Adaptability: Open to learning, testing, and iterating new tools and formats.
- Collaboration Skills: Comfortable giving and receiving feedback, working within a small content team, and aligning with brand guidelines.

Work Hours and Availability:

- Compensation: $6–$8 USD per hour.
- Schedule: Full-time role requiring 40 hours per week.
- Overlap: We require availability to overlap with U.S. Eastern Standard Time at least two days per week from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM EST for team collaboration.
