E-Commerce Webmaster (Shopify)

We’re an independent publishing house focused on creating magical tools like oracle decks, tarot cards, journals, and altar cloths that inspire people to explore their creativity and spirituality. As we grow, we’re looking for a trustworthy and reliable Web Developer & SEO Specialist to help us optimize and maintain our e-commerce site, ensuring it runs smoothly while providing technical support when needed.

We are looking for someone to start ASAP, so we will move through the hiring process smoothly and promptly.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining and improving our Shopify e-commerce site
- Ensuring SEO optimization (on-page, off-page, keyword strategy, and metadata)
- Handling technical support to fix bugs and troubleshoot issues (Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, perhaps other areas too - we always need support in these areas)
- Implementing custom code or apps to improve the site's functionality
- Optimizing website speed and ensuring all pages load smoothly
- Fixing any glitches, bugs, or errors on the site
- Ensuring all Shopify integrations (email marketing, payment gateways, tracking tools) work seamlessly
- Updating products and pages as needed
- Collaborating with the team to ensure the site reflects our brand and goals
- Staying up-to-date with Shopify updates and SEO best practices

Qualifications - Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience with Shopify development
- Strong SEO knowledge (on-page and off-page)
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with technical troubleshooting and bug fixes
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Familiarity with Meta Pixel and other tracking tools
- Ability to implement third-party apps and integrations on Shopify
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail

Qualifications - Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (for small website adjustments)
- Experience working with creative, spiritual, or lifestyle brands
- Basic knowledge of UX/UI design
