Role: Senior Tax Analyst

Job description:
Work-From-Office is a setup based in Makati/Angeles

We are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to support our global tax and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and collaborative, and someone who can handle various projects with flexibility and a data mindset. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and contribute to our mission to democratize our financial system.

They are responsible for ensuring tax compliance and the accurate reporting of tax financial data. This includes tasks such as analyzing and reconciling tax accounts, conducting flux analyses, and assisting on tax administrative issues (such as tax notice recordkeeping, tax documentation). They also assist in managing tax payments, and ad hoc projects within the tax department. The successful candidate should also possess strong analytical and organizational skills.

Additional experience in the financial or tech sectors, familiarity with Oracle Cloud, and proficiency in process improvement and spreadsheets would be advantageous.

What you’ll do:
- Prepare US Tax Provision under ASC740 for each affiliate
- Compute and prepare quarterly estimated tax payments for each affiliate
- Prepare and file various miscellaneous tax filings, including but not limited to Federal Excise Tax, Foreign Bank Account Reporting, 1120-POL
- Prepare any necessary book to tax supporting workpapers
- Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and perform flux analyses
- Support the tax department in managing tax documentation, notices, payments and any ad hoc projects

Qualification and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MS in Tax or C.P.A. preferred (Financial and/or Tech Sector experience is a plus!)
- 4+ years of corporate tax experience with public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department
- Possess an understanding of ASC740 principles, as well as federal and state tax concepts
- Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint (Oracle Cloud is a plus!)
- Eagerness to learn, and strong analytical and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and can drive projects to completion in a deadline driven environment
- Inventive, resourceful and have remarkable analytical and problem solving abilities
- Can communicate sophisticated tax concepts in ways that are meaningful to non-tax professionals
- Experience with process improvement and proficiency with spreadsheets
