Onsite Website Developer - Marketplace Integration and Development/ Website Maintenance for a Leading eCommerce Retailer

Website Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Monitor and address issues to ensure optimal website performance.
Conduct post-release testing to confirm website functionality and performance.
Implement and test promotional materials across the website, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
Create and manage coupons within Magento, ensuring correct application and functionality.

Product Management:
Import and enrich product listings in Magento to enhance visibility and sales performance.
Manage new product carousels and featured products on the website.

Technical Support and Data Flow Management:
Provide technical support for eCommerce systems, ensuring quick and effective issue resolution.
Manage data flows between internal systems and external marketplaces to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with the IT team and Quality Team to address issues affecting eCommerce operations.

Marketplace Management:
Assist in onboarding new marketplaces, ensuring smooth integration and setup.
Manage freight setup and implement technical changes for various marketplaces.
Oversee order, tracking, and price imports/exports between systems and marketplaces, especially where automatic feeds are unavailable.
Ensure accurate data flow between internal systems and reseller platforms.

System Integration and Development:
Support system integration for new sales channels, including data feed scheduling and maintenance.
Perform bulk updates and manual imports for systems and channel data as needed.
Develop and document processes for implementing new and existing projects.
Build PHP-based APIs, including using Laravel, and create new user interfaces for applications.
Engage in CMS-based website development and assist with back-end developer operations.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
Assist with reporting and other ad hoc tasks as required by the business.
Utilise online resources and forums to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, E-Commerce, Business, or a related field.
Strong and proven technical background with experience in eCommerce systems, particularly Magento.
Proficient in data management, troubleshooting, and system integration.
Familiarity with marketplace platforms such as eBay, Amazon, Mydeal, Kogan, Catch, and Crazy Deals.
Experience with website troubleshooting and maintenance.
Familiarity with data management, including imports and exports between systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Experience:
Preferably 4 Years experience in eCommerce or IT support related fields.

Physical Demands:
Good health, eyesight and hearing are required.
This position will require some work to be rendered on extended hours and in some cases, on graveyard shift for completion of a project or to meet with clients and project stakeholders;
Work Environment:

The duties and responsibilities of the position are essentially performed in a normal office environment
This position does not require the employee to perform duties that will necessitate climbing/crawling or handling of light construction equipment. However, if the situation calls for functions to be carried out in that environment, it is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that all safety factors are in place and safety procedures are being followed.
Work Schedule:

Primary: Morning or Afternoon Shift, 5 days a week including weekends, onsite
Other Shifts as the project or department’s mandate may require.
