We’re looking for a skilled and proactive VA with strong video editing and YouTube growth experience to join our team. This role will begin part-time, with the potential to transition into full-time based on performance. ROLE OVERVIEW
As our Video Editor, you'll work closely with the team to create high-quality, on-brand content designed to boost engagement and subscriber growth on YouTube. This includes long- and short-form video editing, creating custom thumbnails, and producing visually compelling email graphics and digital product mock-ups. You'll also handle some admin tasks to support content research and channel optimization. Success in this role requires not only editing skills but also a deep understanding of YouTube’s algorithms, viewer retention strategies, and ways to maximize watch time and audience engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Editing Long form and short form video's for YouTube, IG & TT
-Edit long-form & short-form videos for YouTube and ensure content aligns with YouTube's best practices for engagement and retention.
-Tasks: Trim, add audio, align voiceovers, and integrate pop-ups, motion graphics, transitions, and text overlays as needed.
Create short-form videos from long-form content for YouTube Shorts, Reels, and TikTok.
-Design eye-catching thumbnails that increase click-through rates (CTR) and align with YouTube’s style and trends.
-Stay informed on the latest YouTube video growth strategies and incorporate techniques to increase watch time, CTR, and subscriber retention.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
-Create branded YouTube thumbnails, email marketing graphics, and digital product mock-ups.
-Develop e-book and sales mock-ups that support the digital product and email marketing strategy.

ADMIN TASK
-Conduct data research for video topics, SEO keywords, and trends.
-Conduct other research and data entry
-Track video performance metrics and engagement rates to analyze the success of edits and improvements for future videos.
-Update spreadsheets, assist with channel management, and other ad-hoc admin duties as needed.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
-Proven experience in video editing for YouTube or similar platforms (portfolio required).
-Advanced knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
-Graphic design experience for creating YouTube thumbnails and branded visuals (portfolio required).
-Familiarity with YouTube growth strategies such as SEO, CTR optimization, engagement tactics, and analytics tracking.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to YouTube’s constantly evolving algorithms.
-Experience using communication tools like Zoom, Slack, Google Meet, and Notion
-Must be able to have same-day video turnaround time for simple video editing-MUST BE TIMELY WITH VIDEO COMPLETION
