Job Advertisement: Accountant (m/f/d) for Our Companies

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accountant (m/f/d) to manage the entire accounting operations for our companies. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our organization. Our headquarters is located in Cyprus.

Your Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting and Record-Keeping:
• Full responsibility for the bookkeeping of multiple companies (including e-commerce and service-based businesses).
• Managing and maintaining general ledgers, as well as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other sub-ledgers.
• Preparing and posting invoices for incoming and outgoing transactions.
2. Monthly and Annual Closings:
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with national and international standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP).
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and regularly reviewing accounting records.
3. Tax Matters:
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other tax filings.
• Collaborating with tax advisors and tax authorities to ensure compliance with all tax regulations in Cyprus and beyond.
• Acting as the main point of contact with our tax advisor to manage all company tax matters.
4. Cash Flow and Financial Management:
• Monitoring payment transactions and managing bank accounts.
• Creating cash flow forecasts and financial analyses.
• Ensuring timely payments to suppliers and partners.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
• Producing financial reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making by the management team.
• Developing and optimizing reporting processes.
6. Process Optimization:
• Implementing and maintaining digital accounting software (e.g., DATEV, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Streamlining and improving accounting workflows.
7. Communication and Collaboration:
• Acting as a liaison between internal departments, external tax advisors, and authorities.
• Advising and supporting the team on accounting and tax-related matters.

Your Profile:
• Completed vocational training in accounting, a degree in finance or business administration, or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations (domestic and international) and financial statement preparation.
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work ethic.
• High level of discretion, reliability, and responsibility.
• Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
