Title: Licensing & Contracting Specialist
Department: Licensing & Operations
Reports To: CEO and COO
Time zone: 11 AM - 7 PM EST (flexible)
Compensation: Based on work experience
Position: Full-time work from home

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Licensing & Contracting Specialist will be to ensure that all team members in the company are properly life and health insurance licensed and that they are able to navigate the company's licensing system efficiently. This will involve working with team members to identify any obstacles they may be encountering and finding ways to overcome those obstacles.

The outcomes you own:
- Getting all new agents licensed as efficiently as possible.
- Getting all newly licensed agents contracted as efficiently as possible.
- Building a relationship of trust and professionalism between the agents and the company.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding

- Guide new agents through the entire onboarding process and document their progress.
- Assist team members with the licensing process, ensuring that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time to our company and the state of residency.

Agent Recognition

- Send announcements for agent birthdays and anniversaries
- Coordinate recognition efforts for agents at key earning milestones

Team Communication

- Communicate effectively with team members, answering questions and addressing any concerns they may have about the licensing process.
- Create and post announcements to the agent team re: upcoming events, meetings, sales contests, etc.

Agent Tracking & Support

- Provide guidance and support to team members who are in the process of obtaining new licenses or renewing existing ones.
- Work closely with team members to identify any obstacles they may be encountering in the licensing process and finding ways to overcome them.
- Monitor the progress of team members as they go through the licensing process and provide updates to the Senior Marketing Director as needed.

Event and Meeting Coordination

- Assist in the planning and execution of meetings and events.

Contracting

- Initiate and complete contracts for each new agent with the carriers whose solutions they will be recommending, ensuring full legal compliance.

What you bring to the table - qualifications

- 2 years experience in the licensing process in the United States for life and health insurance agents
- This person must have a stellar personality, with excellent interpersonal skills and professional presentation. It will be your responsibility to build trust with our new agents.
- Must know how to submit non-resident insurance licenses through NIPR
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications
- Be proficient and resourceful at learning new tools and systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication= and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Able to pass our popo check (criminal background)
- References (Mom doesn’t count, although we’re sure she will have great things to say)
