Title: Marketing Analyst
Employment Type: Freelance (15-20 hours per week, with potential for full-time)
Reports To: Chief Marketing Strategist (CMO)
Core Responsibilities
1.? ?Performance Analysis
• Analyze campaign metrics across platforms
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ROAS, CPA, CTR, and conversion rates.
• Monitor customer journey metrics (bounce rates, cart abandonments, checkout conversions) to identify areas for improvement.
2.? ?Reporting
• Create weekly and monthly performance reports for ad campaigns and marketing efforts.
• Visualize data in clear, actionable dashboards using tools like Google Data Studio, Excel, or Tableau.
• Present insights and recommendations to the marketing team to guide strategic decisions.
3.? ?Trend Identification
• Identify patterns in customer behavior and market trends to inform creative and campaign strategies.
• Monitor competitors’ performance to benchmark against industry standards.
4.? ?Budget Optimization
• Work with the Performance Marketing Manager to allocate budget toward the highest-performing campaigns.
• Suggest reallocations or budget cuts based on data to maintain profitability.
5.? ?Experimentation and Testing
• Design A/B tests for ad creatives, landing pages, and audience targeting.
• Measure test results and recommend scaling or discontinuing based on performance.
6.? ?Data Integration
• Centralize data from multiple platforms (e.g., Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Analytics, Amazon) to provide a unified view of marketing performance.
• Ensure accuracy in data tracking by auditing platform integrations (e.g., pixels, tags).
Key Deliverables
1. Weekly Campaign Reports:
• ROAS, CPA, and LTV breakdowns by platform.
• Identification of top-performing creatives, audiences, and channels.
2. Monthly Marketing Dashboards:
• Comprehensive overview of marketing efforts with actionable insights for optimization.
• High-level summary for leadership and detailed analysis for execution teams.
3. A/B Testing Reports:
• Results of experiments with clear recommendations for scaling or pivoting.
4. Quarterly Insights:
• Emerging trends and strategic opportunities based on historical data.
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in analytics tools: Google Analytics, Triple Whale, Shopify analytics, etc.
• Experience with advertising platforms:
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization).
• Familiarity with reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
Analytical Expertise:
• Strong ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable strategies.
• Familiarity with performance marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, LTV, etc.).
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and proactively.
Preferred Experience:
• 3+ years in a marketing analytics role, preferably in e-commerce or performance marketing.
• Experience working with brands at a $1M+ monthly revenue scale.
Compensation
• Hourly Rate: $40-$70/hour depending on experience.
• Monthly Estimated Cost: $2,400-$5,600 for 15-20 hours per week.
