About Us:
Tara Reed Designs is a dynamic and well established art brand with two core income streams: licensing art for quilting fabric and other consumer goods and online products including 2 Etsy shops and a membership program, Sew with Tara Reed. We are dedicated to serving the sewing and quilting community with education, projects, patterns and tutorials for beginners to intermediate level sewists and quilters.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organized and dedicated Executive Assistant to support the online aspects of the business. You will help manage the day-to-day operations and ensure the overall success of the business.
Responsibilities:
Communication:
Act as a primary point of contact between the owner and various stakeholders.
Draft and respond to
Respond to comments on social media and YouTube on behalf of the owner.
Market Research:
Conduct research and prepare reports as needed to support decision making.
Keyword Research:
Keyword research to determine industry trends and best time of year for posting different kinds of projects.
Keyword research for specific projects to use for SEO, blog post tags, YouTube tags, Pinterest keywords, etc. for maximum reach of content.
Trend Research:
Look for trends and opportunities in the sewing and quilting industry based on search volume, competition, etc.
Information Management:
Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for important documents.
Maintain and create reports to track results in key areas including but not limited to:
Google Analytics
YouTube
Social Media Analytics
Product Performance
Maintain an organized and up-to-date calendar for blog posts, YouTube videos and events, Membership content and social media content.
Graphic Design:
Create graphics for blog posts, social media and YouTube. Templates and brand guidelines will be provided but creativity and familiarity with graphic design programs is a plus. (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Membership Support:
Act as a primary point of contact for Sew with Tara Reed members for customer service inquiries and concerns.
Help plan and coordinate events related to the online membership site such as webinars, workshops or virtual live events.
Website Support:
Post blog posts on a WordPress website using Elementor Pro using provided guidelines and best practices.
Ability to troubleshoot WordPress website issues is a bonus.
YouTube and Social Media Support:
YouTube:
Using keyword research, help optimize SEO in descriptions and tags. We use TubeBuddy to help with research and optimization.
Upload and schedule videos and shorts.
Schedule Live Events.
Social Media:
Primary focus will be on increasing engagement and traffic from Pinterest.
Secondary focus on Instagram,
Confidentiality:
Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Creative thinker with excellent verbal and written communication.
Proficient in Google Suite and other relevant software.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Detail oriented and proactive in problem solving.
Understanding of online membership platforms or willingness to learn.
Understanding of the sewing and quilting industry or willingness to learn. Bonus points if you know how to sew.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
