Position Overview
We’re looking for a Longform Video Editor to produce engaging YouTube videos ranging from 5 to 15 minutes. You’ll be responsible for turning raw footage into polished content that hooks viewers, maintains engagement, and encourages interaction. This role is perfect for someone with experience in storytelling, pacing, and optimizing videos for YouTube’s algorithm.

We’re focused on quality and performance — the more views your videos get, the more you’ll earn. If you know how to craft compelling narratives, apply strategic editing techniques, and produce visually appealing content, this is for you.

What You’ll Do
Edit 4-8 videos per month (raw footage provided).
Craft compelling intros and hooks to capture attention within the first 10 seconds.
Incorporate smooth transitions, text overlays, B-roll, and graphics to enhance storytelling.
Add engaging titles, captions, and on-screen prompts that encourage viewer interaction.
Optimize videos for YouTube’s algorithm, including proper formatting and compression.
Research and incorporate trending styles and best practices for YouTube content.
Take feedback and make revisions as needed to maintain high standards.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience editing long-form content for YouTube or similar platforms.
Proficiency with editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms and viewer retention strategies.
Experience with motion graphics, sound design, and visual storytelling.
Ability to craft engaging narratives that keep viewers watching.
A creative problem-solver who can work independently and meet deadlines.

Compensation & Bonus Structure
We believe great work should be rewarded. Our compensation plan motivates editors to create content that performs well.

Base Pay:

$100 per video (5-15 minutes).
Performance Bonuses (View Milestones):

5,000 views: +$50 bonus
10,000 views: +$50 bonus (total = $200 for the video)
25,000 views: +$100 bonus (total = $300 for the video)
50,000 views: +$150 bonus (total = $450 for the video)
100,000 views: +$250 bonus (total = $700 for the video)
Example Payment Breakdown: If you edit 5 videos in a month and hit the following milestones:

1 video reaches 50,000 views ($450).
2 videos reach 10,000 views each ($200 each).
2 videos do not hit view milestones ($100 each).
Total Payment = $450 + $200 x 2 + $100 x 2 = $1,050 for 5 videos.
