JOB OVERVIEW

The person in this role will handle accounting for small and medium sized businesses. All financials will be updated using Quickbooks Online. Clients will use various point of sale and inventory systems so an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems is important. Responsibilities include producing a monthly income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. The person in this role will be expected to follow accrual accounting to book cost of goods sold and other expenses, reconcile the bank accounts weekly, reconciling inventory monthly, partner with the clients to craft standard operating procedures and establish control mechanisms.

Job Description
1. Supporting various aspects of our accounting and reporting process. This includes the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.
2. End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners.
3. Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
4. Execute judgments to keep projects moving and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books each month.
5. Escalating risks and issues as necessary to leadership.
6. Strong sense of ownership.
7. Ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization.
Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
2. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. CPA
2. Knowledge of internal control framework to assess control design and operational efficiency
3. Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
4. Experience in accounting management in Big Four
5. Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
