Description: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Solar Designer to join our team. This role involves designing solar energy systems for residential properties, as well as working closely with county and municipal agencies to resolve comments during the permitting process. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical design abilities, a deep understanding of local building codes, and experience navigating the permitting process to ensure timely and efficient approvals for solar installations.

Core Responsibilities:
Design solar systems for residential properties, including system layout, electrical design, and equipment selection.
Address and respond to comments from county and municipal agencies during the permitting and review process.
Prepare, submit, and track permits for solar projects, ensuring efficient and timely approval.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs comply with local regulations and project specifications.
Stay informed on changes to local, state, and national building codes and regulations related to solar installations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in designing solar energy systems, particularly for residential projects.
Strong understanding of local building codes and permitting processes for solar installations.
Proficiency in design software and tools used for solar system layout and electrical design.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with county agencies, project managers, and contractors.
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure regulatory compliance.
Knowledge of current trends, technologies, and regulations in the solar industry.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address and resolve permitting and design challenges.
