We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant with advanced knowledge in accounting systems and sales strategies to join our team at P3 Paper Plastic Products Inc. This role is pivotal in reducing costs, optimizing pricing, and increasing profitability while supporting sales growth through data-driven proposals and strategies. The ideal candidate will also collaborate closely with our inventory and logistics teams to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Cost Analysis & Profitability Optimization
Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and identify opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.
Develop and implement an ABC categorization system to classify products by profitability and sales priority.
Provide recommendations for SKU retention or removal based on profitability analysis.
Identify seasonal trends and propose targeted sales strategies for high-demand periods.
2. Sales Growth Support
Develop detailed pricing and proposal strategies to support bulk sales to supermarkets and retail customers.
Collaborate with the sales team to create customer proposals, including
Cost breakdowns.
Suggested selling prices for supermarkets.
Profit margins supermarkets can achieve compared to competitors.
Use cost data to craft tailored proposals that demonstrate the financial benefits of purchasing from P3.
Recommend commission structures and incentive plans to drive seasonal and bulk sales growth.
3. Accounting Systems Administration
Act as a Systems Administrator for Zoho One, ensuring optimal configuration and usage of accounting software.
Streamline insurance, compliance, and financial processes through automation.
Integrate financial and operational data across departments for seamless reporting and efficiency.
4. Financial Reporting & Advisory
Prepare detailed financial analyses to inform management on pricing, profitability, and cost management.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify profit opportunities and improve the cost-effectiveness of sales initiatives.
5. Collaboration with Operations
Work closely with the inventory and logistics teams to reduce logistical costs and streamline procurement processes.
Monitor product profitability and inventory turnover to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, preferably in wholesale, distribution, or FMCG industries.
- Expertise in pricing strategies, proposal preparation, and profitability analysis for retail and bulk sales.
- Proficiency in Zoho One or other ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate cost data into actionable sales strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with sales, operations, and management teams.
- Familiarity with commission structures and incentive-based sales plans.
