Position Overview:
The Walmart Account Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business relationship between our company and Walmart. The primary goal is to drive sales, ensure product availability, optimize shelf space, and execute marketing and promotional strategies in alignment with Walmart’s objectives. This role is key to managing and developing our relationship with Walmart, one of our most important retail partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail account management, the toy industry, and Walmart’s unique business processes. As a part of our continued growth, we are looking for a self-motivating, dynamic and experienced Walmart Account Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
>Serve as the main point of contact between ArtCreativity and Walmart's buying, merchandising, and supply chain teams.
>Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within Walmart.
>Collaborate with Walmart's internal teams to drive sales and meet mutually agreed-upon business goals.
>Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate product availability.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
>Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and revenue within Walmart stores.
>Drive product assortments and pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace.
>Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, etc.) to ensure timely product launches and promotional activities.
Promotions & Marketing:
>Plan and execute promotional events, marketing campaigns, and in-store merchandising strategies in collaboration with Walmart’s marketing team.
>Ensure products are prominently displayed and marketed in alignment with Walmart’s guidelines and standards.
>Forecasting & Inventory Management:
>Provide accurate sales forecasting and demand planning for Walmart’s stores, working closely with the supply chain team.
>Monitor product performance, sales trends, and inventory levels to optimize sales opportunities.
Negotiation & Contracts:
>Negotiate terms and agreements related to pricing, discounts, and promotional strategies.
>Ensure compliance with Walmart’s policies and procedures for pricing, labeling, and product distribution.
Reporting & Analysis:
>Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
>Provide regular updates on sales performance, key initiatives, and customer insights to senior management.
>Use data to propose new initiatives and track the effectiveness of strategies.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
*3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or retail management, ideally within the toy industry or consumer goods sector.
*Strong knowledge of Walmart's retail processes, policies, and systems.
*Proven track record of managing large retail accounts, driving sales growth, and executing successful product strategies.
*Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
*Experience with inventory management and demand planning.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with retail management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience working directly with Walmart's merchandising or buying teams.
*Knowledge of the toy industry and current trends.
*Familiarity with Walmart's online and e-commerce platform.
