Vlog Style Video Editor

We are looking for a talented and creative Vlog Style Video Editor to join our team! If you're passionate about storytelling through video and have an eye for making content engaging, dynamic, and entertaining, this is the job for you. The ideal candidate will have experience editing vlogs, YouTube-style videos, or similar content and be able to create videos that hold the viewer's attention from start to finish.

Responsibilities:
Edit vlog-style videos ranging from 15 to 25 minutes in length
Assemble footage, add music, effects, graphics, and transitions to create an engaging video
Collaborate with the content creator to match the tone and style of the vlog
Ensure high-quality audio and visual editing (syncing, noise removal, color correction, etc.)
Add captions, titles, and overlays as needed to enhance the storytelling
Maintain consistency with branding, pacing, and overall aesthetic of the videos
Meet deadlines and be able to work with quick turnarounds when necessary

Requirements:
Proven experience in vlog-style video editing (please include samples of previous work)
Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
Ability to edit videos in a way that engages the audience and keeps them watching until the end
Strong attention to detail, including sound quality, timing, and visual aesthetics
Basic knowledge of video formats and exporting for YouTube and other platforms
Good communication skills and the ability to take feedback and make revisions as needed
Creative mindset with a passion for video editing and storytelling



Bonus Skills:
Experience with motion graphics, intro/outro animation, or other advanced editing techniques
Knowledge of YouTube video SEO and optimization strategies (titles, tags, thumbnails, etc.)
Social media savvy and understanding of current trends in online video content

This video showcases the vibe, pacing, and overall flow we want to achieve with our content.
Compensation:
Starting Rate: $3.5 per hour
Opportunity for pay increases based on performance and experience.

Note:
-We are offering a PAID assessment of $25 to evaluate your editing skills and alignment with our vision.

The goal is to imitate the vlog style provided in the example we’ll share.

For the assessment, you will take 8 hours of raw footage and edit it down to a 20–30 minute vlog that captures the desired style and storytelling.
