Job Description:
We are looking for a creative and dynamic Video Editor with a specialisation in Instagram Reels to join our content team. The ideal candidate will have flawless fluent English, be responsible for creating eye-catching and engaging visuals, animations, and short-form videos tailored specifically for TikTok's unique format and audience. This role requires a strong understanding of TikTok trends, graphic design, and video editing skills that can drive engagement, brand awareness, and community interaction for a new service offering in the beauty industry.
Responsibilities:
Design and create visually compelling graphics, short animations, and video content tailored for TikTok and Instagram.
Create thumbnails and podcast episode covers for an upcoming new service offering in the beauty industry.
Collaborate with the social media and content teams to develop creative concepts that align with campaign objectives and branding.
Stay up-to-date with TikTok trends, filters, and best practices to ensure content is current and engaging.
Edit raw footage into polished TikTok videos, incorporating dynamic text overlays, motion graphics, and sound effects.
Optimize videos for mobile viewing, ensuring quality remains high across devices and network speeds.
Manage and organise creative assets, ensuring consistency in brand guidelines and aesthetics.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas for TikTok content and campaigns.
Monitor analytics and feedback to refine future content and improve audience engagement.
Adapt content for cross-platform use (e.g., Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts), when needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience creating content for TikTok, with a portfolio or examples of your work.
Proficiency with graphic design and video editing software (e.g., CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Caption App, etc.)
Strong understanding of TikTok trends, challenges, and platform features, with a track record of creating viral or highly-engaging content.
Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative, on-brand content that connects with TikTok's audience.
Ability to create motion graphics and integrate sound, text, and effects seamlessly into short-form videos.
Solid understanding of social media metrics, with a focus on TikTok analytics, to inform content strategy.
Familiarity with brand marketing and how to create graphics that adhere to brand voice and aesthetics.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team working 7 hours ahead of schedule.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in social media management or strategy, with a focus on TikTok audience and brand growth.
Knowledge of TikTok advertising options, including paid promotions and in-app shop integration.
Basic understanding of SEO for social media and how to optimise video descriptions, hashtags, and other metadata.
Experience creating content for other short-form video platforms such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
