Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic immigration law firm. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in legal writing, document preparation, and case management, with specific expertise in drafting legal memos, motions, and handling immigration forms. A strong command of legal processes for EB1A and NIW cases is essential. Proficiency in communication tools and a collaborative mindset are also required for seamless teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Memo Drafting:
Draft and ensure the quality of legal memos with a preferred turnaround time of 3 days per memo.
Collaborate with clerks to ensure timely completion of memos.
Motion Drafting:
Prepare and draft motions for submission, adhering to legal standards and deadlines.
Immigration Form Management:
Accurately fill out and review immigration forms, including G-28, I-140, and I-907.
Ensure compliance with immigration regulations for EB1A and NIW cases.
Document Preparation and Case Management:
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and filed promptly.
Assist attorneys in preparing for client meetings and hearings.
Legal Writing:
Conduct research and prepare concise, well-written legal documents and correspondence.
Communication and Collaboration:
Utilize Microsoft Teams, WeChat, and Zoom for internal communication and collaboration.
Liaise effectively with attorneys, clients, and clerks to manage workflows and priorities.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a paralegal in an immigration law firm or relevant legal field.
Proficiency with immigration forms, particularly G-28, I-140, and I-907.
Strong legal writing and research skills.
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with internal communication tools like MS Teams, WeChat, and Zoom.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with EB1A and NIW cases.
Ability to work collaboratively with clerks and attorneys to streamline processes.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Working Environment:
This is a remote position with occasional virtual Zoom or MS Teams meetings. The role requires availability during standard business hours to ensure timely communication and task management.
