Bookeeper (XERO and Ecomm experience MUST)

Company Overview:
We are a fast-growing barber supplies business looking to expand our finance team. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage financial records using Xero accounting software.
• Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly transactions across multiple platforms (Amazon, Shopify, and other e-commerce platforms).
• Track and manage sales, expenses, and refunds, ensuring all data is accurately captured in Xero.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Process payroll, VAT/GST returns, and manage bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, monthly reports, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Provide support for end-of-month and end-of-year financial closing processes.
• Liaise with external accountants for year-end reporting and tax preparation.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in financial processes and recommend solutions.


Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Proven expertise in Xero accounting software.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, specifically Amazon and Shopify (experience with other platforms like eBay, Etsy, etc. is a plus).
• Excellent understanding of e-commerce sales tax regulations (VAT/GST).
• Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:

• Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (AAT, ACCA, or similar).
• Experience with other accounting or financial software tools.
• Familiarity with multi-currency and international transactions.
