Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Development Specialist to join our growing team. This role is vital to managing the lifecycle of our products—from sourcing and formulation to customer experience. You will negotiate with suppliers, identify cost efficiencies, oversee product development, and ensure the continual enhancement of our offerings, including our Batana Oil.

Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Cost Management:

Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to reduce Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) while maintaining product quality.
Identify and vet alternative wholesale suppliers to drive cost efficiencies.
Product Development:

Oversee the creation and enhancement of products, including Batana Oil and our Hair Growth Box.
Conduct external research on effective ingredients for hair growth and collaborate with formulators to refine our formulas.
Customer Experience Enhancement:

Develop strategies to improve customer retention and increase returning customer rates.
Collaborate with customer service and marketing teams to ensure consistent satisfaction.
Project Management:

Manage timelines and deliverables for product launches and ongoing development projects.
Coordinate across teams to ensure the successful execution of product initiatives.
Market & Industry Research:

Stay informed on trends and breakthroughs in haircare and integrate insights into product development.
Understand customer pain points and preferences to guide product innovation.
Requirements
Proven experience in product development, supplier management, or a related field (preferably in the beauty or haircare industry).
Strong negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers to optimize COGS.
Knowledge of haircare ingredients, including natural oils like Batana Oil, and their benefits.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Passion for haircare and dedication to delivering exceptional products to our customers.
Preferred Skills
Experience with haircare formulation and ingredient sourcing.
Familiarity with industry trends, particularly around natural and growth-promoting haircare solutions.
Background in driving customer retention and satisfaction.
