Data Warehouse & AI Integration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer who can design and build a data warehouse in Google BigQuery, integrate eCommerce data (primarily Shopify), and connect it to a conversational AI assistant (e.g., using OpenAI or Claude) for financial and operational insights. You will be responsible for:

Setting up automated data pipelines to ingest, clean, and aggregate data from Shopify and other sources into BigQuery.

Developing a secure and efficient data model that supports analytical queries for financial metrics, marketing KPIs, and customer behavior.

Creating APIs or integration layers that enable a large language model (LLM) to retrieve summarized metrics and answer natural language queries.

Embedding dashboards (e.g., Whatagraph) alongside a chatbot interface on a web page ensures the chatbot can accurately reference the underlying data.

Ensuring data privacy, security, and proper access controls for multiple clients.

Troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining the system for performance and reliability.
