ROLE OVERVIEW

The Supplier Relationship Manager will play an important role in shaping the future of our supplier strategy as we move from transactional engagements to strategic, performance-focused partnerships.

This role will focus on managing key supplier relationships with global suppliers / manufacturers to drive performance improvements, cost efficiencies, and long-term value. The individual will track and report on supplier KPIs, document interactions, and prepare materials for monthly and quarterly business reviews, while focusing on continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.

In addition, the role will provide backup purchasing support to the team as needed, making familiarity with purchasing and procurement processes highly desirable.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor Supplier Performance: Track and analyse supplier KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, cost) on a regular basis. Document and report on performance trends, highlighting areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.

Supplier Relationship Management: Communicate with suppliers regularly to address performance issues, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate improvements. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers through clear and professional communication.

Prepare Business Review Materials: Act as primary responsible person for preparing presentations / reports for key supplier meetings. This will involve gathering and analysing supplier performance for supplier reports. Also collating information from the supply chain and product teams into professional presentations that will form the basis of meeting discussion.

Implement Cost Efficiency Initiatives: Collaborate with suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities. Negotiate pricing adjustments, streamline processes, and implement cost reduction strategies to improve overall supply chain efficiency.

Maintain Supplier Documentation: Document all supplier interactions, including business review meetings, performance evaluations, and corrective actions. Ensure supplier-related documentation is up-to-date and accessible for future reference. Also maintain a live supplier data base recording all key contact details / addresses.

Provide Backup Purchasing Support: Assist the procurement team with purchasing tasks as required. This may include placing orders, managing purchase orders, coordinating delivery schedules, and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.

Resolve Supply Chain Issues: Coordinate with suppliers and relevant 2San teams on any supply chain issues related to supplier performance, such as late deliveries, product quality concerns, or order discrepancies. Act as a primary contact to resolve issues promptly and prevent recurrence.

Monitor Supply Chain Risks: Capture and report against any supply chain risks that may impact 2San suppliers or orders, such as supply disruptions, shipping constraints, adverse weather events. Also work with suppliers to capture a forward schedule of all planned holiday closures / factory downtime.

This role will be required to work a shift for the agreed hours of 13:00 to 22:00 PHP time (1 hour break included) to allow for overlap with our supplier base in Asia as well as the UK where our Supply Chain Director is based.



KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in supplier relationship management
Previous experience working with Supplier Management systems
Previous experience working with Microsoft Business Central desirable
Strong communication skills
Capable to work under pressure
Excellent English-speaking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Previous experience in procurement / purchasing processes


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Technical Expertise

· A relevant bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional qualification.

· A minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in a similar role, preferably within a start-up or scale up environment.

OR

· A minimum of 6 years recent experience in a similar role, preferably within a start-up or scale up environment.

AND

· Significant executive support experience

· Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite

· Experience within a fast-paced and high energy environment

· An aptitude for executing business improvement initiatives.

· Experience of troubleshooting problems and providing recommendations.

· Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.

· Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

· Excellent judgment is essential.

· Ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice.

· Experience in a global business environment

· Experience in a start-up environment.

Circumstances & Compensation

Fluent in English (C2 or above)
Must be eligible to work in UK time zone
Location: Remote, work from home
Compensation: 50,000 PHP per month
