Hello! We are a metal building dealer company specializing in custom-made structures ranging from small carports to large commercial buildings. Our industry heavily relies on understanding construction restrictions, local codes, and related regulations. We are seeking an experienced engineer to handle filtered leads and generate accurate quotes, which will then be passed to our sales team for follow-up.
Responsibilities:
Research:
Identify local construction requirements by researching planning department websites.
Gather data on roof snow loads, wind loads, property setbacks, wall height restrictions, site surface restrictions, size restrictions, and other critical information to ensure project success.
Estimate Generation:
Create accurate estimates based on local codes and project requirements.
Calculate necessary materials and structural supports needed to meet permitting standards.
Plan Analysis and Oversight:
Read and interpret building plans to understand the scope of work.
Handle sensitive project details to prevent costly errors.
Project Management:
Monitor and address issues related to permitting processes or project delays.
Follow up on projects to maintain
Data Compilation:
Document gathered data for future reference, creating a reliable resource for city and county-specific requirements.
Please note this is a US based position so work hours are from 8 AM PST - 4 PM PST (12 AM-8AM Manila time)
This position will be treated as contractor but must be available during regular Pacific Standard Time office hours.
About Our Products:
Our products feature galvanized steel tubing and corrugated galvanized steel panels. Each structure is custom-made, tailored to meet local codes and individual client needs. Standard designs are rated for a 25 PSF ground snow load and 90 MPH wind load. You’ll play a vital role in creating quotes that maximize the functionality and efficiency of these buildings while adhering to local regulations.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with ASCE engineering codes in the United States.
- Background in civil engineering and the permitting process for steel buildings.
- Knowledge of steel products such as carports, barns, and commercial buildings (e.g., a 30'W x 45'L x 12'H garage with two
ten by ten roll-up doors, two walk-in doors, and six windows designed for ZIP code 95829).
- Experience creating site-specific plans such as footing plans, structural plans, elevations, and calculations.
- Proficiency with 3D design software to create visualizations for custom projects. To be considered for this position, visit

Skills and Qualifications:
