JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations and accounting functions of the company. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive financial performance across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in real estate finance, who is ready to contribute to the growth and success of a leading real estate investment firm.

While a CPA is preferred, it is not a requirement. We welcome candidates who have strong financial management experience, particularly in the real estate or investment sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Conduct variance analysis to assess financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.

Accounting & Internal Controls:

Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Review and approve all journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity management to ensure the company has sufficient funds to meet its operational and investment obligations.

Oversee banking relationships and manage bank account reconciliations.

Real Estate Financial Oversight:

Monitor and manage the financial aspects of real estate development and investment projects, including cost tracking, project budgeting, and financial reporting for individual projects.

Collaborate with project managers and executives to track project performance and ensure financial objectives are met.

Compliance & Taxation:

Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and real estate industry standards. CA and TX.

Prepare and coordinate the annual tax filings and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

Team Management & Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of accountants and finance professionals.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA designation preferred but not required.

With proven experience using proeprty management software ResMan in accounting

Strong experience in real estate finance or investment is highly preferred.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and budgeting.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
