Paralegal; US Civil Litigation
Join this emerging and growing West Coast USA-based law practice that focuses on Civil Litigation (pertaining to real estate disputes). Play a crucial role in supporting attorneys, managing case preparation, and ensuring the smooth handling of complex legal matters!
The ideal candidate has significant experience as a remote paralegal for a US based law practice, preferably with California civil litigation.

Responsibilities:
• US Civil Litigation experience: (preferably with Real Estate disputes)
• Initial discovery through Settlement
• Legal Document Drafting experience: Prepare drafts of petitions, pleadings, motions, affidavits, objections and others
• Filing experience: Experience with e-filing in the US (California preferably)
• Case Management: manage case documentation utilizing industry tools
• Scheduling: manage team calendars, setting and managing appointments
• Sit in on hearings, depositions, and motions
• Intake: initial client discovery interviews, write report
• Research: research relevant case law or statutes that are applicable to the case (Use various industry tools: West Law, LexisNexis, Thompson Reuters, Relativity, and others)
• General Admin support
• Client interaction and communication
• Excellent English proficiency/communication
Qualifications:
• Must have experience working for US Law Practice
- Work independently with little supervision
• Attention to detail; focus on accuracy
• 2-3 years of paralegal experience
• Strong preference for experience in US Civil Litigation
• Excellent written and English verbal communication skills.
• Writing Skills: write concise summary of research findings
• Microsoft Office Suite, and various legal tools and software
Must be willing to work on US Pacific time zone (EST)
